Sesame Crusted Salmon over Parmesan Baked Asparagus 

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 salmon steak
  • 2 tbsp of white sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp of black sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp of sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 bunch of asparagus 
  • 2 tbsp of grated parmesan
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS (SALMON):
  1. Season salmon with salt and pepper and dip into plate of sesame seeds (white and black mixed together). Only side of salmon will be coated in sesame seeds.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp of sesame oil in a medium heat pan
  3. Sear salmon, sesame side down first for 3 minutes. Turn salmon over and sear for another 3 minutes until salmon is flakey inside.
DIRECTIONS (ASPARAGUS):
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Cut the woody ends of the asparagus spears
  2. Arrange the asparagus spears on a parchment paper lined tray
  3. Sprinkle asparagus with 2 tbsps of grated parmesan, salt, pepper, 3 gloves of minced garlic and drizzle 1 tbsp of olive oil
  4. Bake at 400 degrees F until the cheese begins to brown, about 8-10 minutes
